About QSIM
What browsers are supported?
Currently only Internet Explorer 5.0 (and greater) though we hope to add phone and mobile browsers in the
near future
Will you support other platforms such as Opera, PDAs, Phones etc?
Support for other platforms is something we are always looking into depending on user demand. We do hope
to add phone and mobile browsers in the future
Why not support the older Netscape and IE browsers?
Most users have switched to the newer versions and their updated features allow us to offer a richer
experience to the vast majority of our users.
Can we use QSIM to talk to AOL, MSN or Yahoo users?
No currently you can only use QSIM to talk to other users on the same system. Most of the big IM companies do not offer
interoperability between competing systems and we don't want to get tangled up in a legal row over it.

Why do you want my email address?
We only need it for verifying who you are and to send you a
new password in case it's needed.
Do you give out my personal information?
No we do not sell or give away your email address.
We respect your right to privacy and we hate as much as anyone the spam that fills our inboxes everyday.

How To Use QSIM
Main Window
What do the icons next to the name mean?
The icon indicates a friends status and their ability to chat or respond to a message.
How do I change what group my friend appears under?
From the tools menu, choose to edit a friend. Select the friend you want to change
and you will be given different options to change including their group
How do I change my status/username?
From the tools menu click to Edit Your Info. You can change status, username and password there.

Add a friend
How do I add a friend?
From the tools menu, choose to add a new friend. Enter in their email address and if they are a member of QSIM
you will be shown their current user name and the confirmation to add them. They will then get a message asking if
it's okay that they be added to your list. If they accept, they will appear on your list and you can send them messages.
I've added someone but they don't appear on my list
All friends don't appear on your list until the friend has accepted your request. Once they have accepted, they
will appear in your list. If they say no, they will not appear. With QSIM you cannot send anyone
a message unless they say you can send them a message.

Delete a friend
How do I delete someone
From the tools menu, choose to edit a friend. Select the friend you want to change
and you will be given different options to change including deleting them from your list
Can they still send me messages/chat requests
No they cannot. Once you have removed them from your list, you also get removed from there's
and with QSIM you cannot send anyone a message unless you are on their list.
Can I add them again?
Yes, just go through the steps as you would if you wanted to add a new friend

Messages
How do I send a message?
From the main window, click on one of your friends and the message screen will pop up. Regardless
of whether a friend is online or not, you can still send them a message.
How do I read a message?
New messages will automatically pop up on your display as long as you are logged into QSIM
How do I look at messages that I've received?
All messages are saved once you have read them. To view one of these messages, go to the tools menu
and click to view messages. Your currently archived messages will then appear.
How long do the messages stay in my archive?
Messages stay in the archive for a period of 30 days from the day they were read.
Can I send a message to someone who isn't on my friends list?
No you cannot. Unless you have the person on your friends list you are not allowed to send
that person a message or chat request.

Chat request
How do I invite people to chat with me?
When you start up a chat session, then you are shown all the people who are currently online and
available for a chat. Also, when you are in the chat mode, you can invite others to join you by clicking on the link
at the top of the page.
I don't see anyone in my chat window
People wont appear there till they have joined your chat. If no one appears, you can always
try and invite them again.

Chameleon (skins)
How do I change the skin I currently have?
From the tools menu, click on the "Chameleon" link, you can then choose a new skin or view
the ones that exist currently if you are not sure of the look you want
I selected a new skin but everything looks the same
Your changes wont take affect till you close out of QSIM and log back in again.
How do I create a skin for everyone to use?
From the Chameleon page there is a link to a form that you fill out with all the details. Simply
fill it out, send it to us along with your graphics and it will get reviewed. Once it passes the review board, then the skin
will be up for everyone to use
Are there any rules to follow?
Yes just a couple. Your skin must be viewable by a person of any age. It must contain
racist,sexist or otherwise defamatory images or words and any images or logos used must not be copyright material.
Can I create one using my companies logo?
Yes we do allow that, however, this has to go through our Sales department
